School and University Scholars joined Module 11 of our Leadership Development programme, which focused on Improving Personal Efficiency.
Getting things done, and not being overwhelmed in the process, are key skills for success and wellbeing in today’s busy world. In this leadership module, scholars learned about possible approaches to achieving personal efficiency; they shared top tips for personal organisation with their peers and received new ideas in return.
We were excited to trial some new tech in this workshop, and our young leaders had the opportunity to share their thoughts via a Padlet. Padlet is an interactive, online ‘wall’ for posts. This gave them a platform where they could freely share their experiences and learn from their peers to develop their own personal efficiency systems – you can have a sneak peek at one of our Padlets below.
Feedback from the course and workshop included:
- The breakout groups required us to come up with an action plan to solve realistic problems. Therefore, it stood out because it really encouraged us to think innovatively and work together cohesively.
- Time management [was useful] – with exam season coming in a few months, I plan to prepare early and use the time management skills found in the course content.
- I always appreciate the most when our mentors in our different groups give us feedback after seeing us working and also allow us to find our way as a team without much interruption. This experience is very different from what we get in school and feels like a breath of fresh air!
