Parents of current and former Beacon Scholars met in Nairobi and formed a new Beacon Parents Association.
A group of parents got together at Gracia Gardens, Nairobi on Saturday 20 June, 2015 for the inaugural meeting of The Beacon Parents Association.
The group discussed a number of items including Children’s Fundraising, the Role of Parents, setting up a local Reserve Fund, and some structure for the group. Officials proposed on a temporary basis awaiting formal elections (when more parents and sponsors can be present) are: Nick Muema, Chairman; Consolata Kunyada, Secretary; and Evelyn Kihia, Treasurer.
The next meeting has been planned for Saturday, 8 August 2015 at 1100hrs, venue Gracia Gardens, Nairobi. All parents, sponsors and guardians are invited.
A Whatsapp Group has been set up and all parents/guardians/sponsors are encouraged to join.
