Attended Imperial College London and graduated in 2023, having held a Beacon Scholarship for 3 years. Immediately post-graduation, Chelimo, from Kenya, completed an Internship at Kaplan International, and then secured a graduate role as an Operations Analyst at Pacific Life Re Services, based in London.

Chelimo graduated with a BEng in Biomedical Engineering. In addition to keeping up with her studies, she completed online courses on Data Analytics and Excel to boost her employability. Shortlisted for 2 graduate positions, Chelimo selected the position at Pacific Life Re.

Chelimo enjoys being fit and active, completing a daily 10,000 steps challenge and visiting the gym as much as possible. A talented violin player to ABRSM grade 7, Chelimo dipped in and out of playing with the university orchestra as her studies permitted, and also enjoyed attending their concerts.

Chelimo understands the importance of communication: she was President of Imperial’s EASOC, and one of her activities was to post relevant content on the University’s Instagram account during Black History Month, attracting 3000 views. She also organised informal social gatherings for other members.

Chelimo has a diverse portfolio of Citizenship interests: she is working towards obtaining her St John’s Ambulance First Aid certificate this year and has been voluntarily tutoring two students over the course of the year to pass their A-level exams, something she finds very rewarding.
