Gabriel

Gabriel deploys his passion for Engineering in a range of community initiatives: he successfully led a rollout for the AI start-up company, Lovable; he assembled a team to deliver a hackathon with over 20 university participants, collaborating with a number of Student Union societies and an external start-up incubator, Redwood Founders. He is also a Course Representative, liaising with staff on behalf of his peers and an active Beacon community member, hosting an Indaba, supporting Beacons with employability advice and joining online activities.

As a leader, Gabriel is positive and engaged. He can communicate his ideas persuasively, and is also skilled at garnering the opinions of other team members.

Beacon Summer Citizenship Project

Gabriel’s Summer Citizenship Project was called ‘Nairobi AI Exploration Lab: Using AI to Solve Real-World Problems’ and focused on empowering participants in Nairobi to explore, learn, and build with AI tools.
