Lem, from Tanzania, graduated from the London School of Economics in 2026. Before studying at LSE as a Beacon Scholar, Lem was a Beacon School Scholar. Following graduation, he plans to pursue a Master’s, also at LSE.
During his time at LSE, Lem has championed Black students – as President of the Advancing Black Careers society, he led a team organising successful networking events and insight days with guest speakers. He has featured in the top 100 Most Important People of African Descent in the UK’s ‘Leader and Pioneer’ category. He volunteers for Debate Mate, and creates curriculums to support financial literacy in communities in Tanzania.
