Aileen Peter Meena is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in Tanzania, working with Tigo and Vodacom. She has excelled in various roles, including managerial positions across commercial, consumer, enterprise, and marketing departments. Aileen has managed large teams, spearheaded business transformations, and led key projects, focusing on start-up models, partnerships, and change management.

In her career, she has held 12 roles, rising from a call center agent to senior managerial positions, such as Head of Marketing & Enablement at Vodacom. Recently, she transitioned to the oil and gas sector with Vivo Energy, leading Marketing, Communications, and CSR for Tanzania. Her philosophy emphasizes embracing change, accelerating results, and driving community impact through sustainable business practices.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Aileen is an active community advocate, mentoring youth and women, supporting orphanages, and volunteering for projects benefiting people with disabilities across Africa. She also lectures on modern communication and supports NGOs with technology strategies.

Aileen holds an MBA specializing in Marketing and IT Management and a Social Sciences degree from the University of Dar es Salaam, where she is also pursuing a doctorate. She has been recognized with awards, including WIMA’s Top 50 Women in Management Africa (2021) and Top 100 Executives in Tanzania (2022).
