The Beacon Scholarship at the University of Birmingham
The University of Birmingham, is a truly global university producing world-leading research. It benefits from mutual partnerships with a wide range of international institutions and hosts a large international community of researchers and students. With over 8,700 international students from approximately 150 countries, and 31% of our academic staff from overseas, its campus is truly a diverse and global place which attracts the brightest and best international students and staff. The University offers a wide range of programmes at undergraduate level with over 350 different courses within five academic faculties.
The Beacon Scholarship at the University of Exeter
The University of Exeter is a Russell Group university that combines world-class research with high levels of student satisfaction. The university has over 30,000 students from 150+ countries and has four campuses: Streatham and St Luke’s (both of which are in Exeter); and Truro and Penryn (both of which are in Cornwall). The university is primarily located in the city of Exeter, where it is the principal higher education institution.
We offer a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research degrees across more than 40 subjects, taught by world-leading academics. We were one of the few Russell Group institutions to receive a prestigious triple gold award from the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF 2023), whilst the 2021 Research Excellence Framework review showed that we are doing more research, of better quality, with a bigger impact on the world than ever before.

The Beacon Scholarship at Cardiff University
Cardiff University is a top 20 university in the UK for the overall quality of research, confirmed as world-leading or internationally excellent. Founded by Royal Charter in 1883, the University today combines impressive modern facilities and a dynamic approach to teaching and research. The Beacon Scholarship at the London School of Economics
LSE was founded in 1895 by four leading members of the Fabian Society – Beatrice and Sidney Webb, Graham Wallas and George Bernard Shaw. The School’s aim was the betterment of society, and in 1922 it adopted as its motto rerume cognoscere causas – to know the causes of things. Today it is one of the foremost social science universities in the world, with teaching and research spanning the full breadth of social sciences, from economics and politics to anthropology and geography. Situated in the heart of central London, LSE is famed for its cosmopolitan student body, drawing its students from over 145 countries worldwide.
