George

As treasurer of the Engineering Society, George organises events such as the Engineering Ball, monthly socials, and career events, strengthening communication and coordination with committee members, sponsors, and attendees. He has founded a study group that has grown across the course, enhancing collaboration and shared understanding of complex topics. His voluntary work as an online tutor with Tutor Nation, supporting underprivileged pupils in Maths and Chemistry at A Level and O Level, as well as encouraging his peers to volunteer, demonstrates his desire to be a Changemaker.

As a leader, George is actively engaged, contributes valuables ideas and supports team organisation.

Beacon Summer Citizenship Project

George’s Summer Citizenship Project was called ‘Strong Minds, Bright Futures!’ and focused on teaching mental health awareness and emotional well-being to children in local schools to help them develop healthy emotional habits early in life.
