On Saturday 24 August 2013 current and new Beacon Scholars met for a morning to discuss their summer citizenship activities.
Scholars reported on activities ranging from poaching, disability, animals, the environment, and children’s homes.
A parent of one of the scholars, Consolata Norbert Kunyada (a Kenyan Trustee of the Mango Tree Orphan Support Trust ) led a discussion about how to support children in the community rather than in an institution.
Tunde was in the US but sent a presentation of his summer citizenship activity.
