Megan

Megan is head of the school Charity Committee and organised a successful fundraising event for Turi grounds staff, leading two large charity events including a ‘frugal lunch’ where students were encouraged to donate a portion of their lunch money. She is working towards the Turi Leadership Award and is building closer ties with the community though a self-sufficiency project with Chazon Africa. In leadership activities, Megan is confident and creative, offering valuable contributions and contextual reflections. 

Beacon Summer Citizenship Project

Megan’s Summer Citizenship Project built on last year’s work at Mukuru Community Centre School in Nairobi, and aimed to deepen and expand the teaching of study skills to students in classes 7 and 8.
