Beacon is about building communities and connections. We connect secondary school Beacons with university Beacons; we connect university Beacons with Alumni; we connect Alumni with current Beacons; we connect Beacons to each other at their universities and schools; and we connect universities and schools with new Beacons.

‘Ubuntu’ is an African word originating in South Africa. It means “I am because we are” or “Humanity towards others.”

It is about the interconnectedness between people, and with their environment.
