ISL

The Beacon Scholarship at ISL

International School of Lusaka (ISL) is the oldest international school in Zambia and has provided history, legacy, and tradition alongside academic excellence since 1963. With a student body from over 50 countries and a vibrant international and local teaching staff, ISL is committed to educating the whole child to ensure success in the world beyond our campus: learning today, leading tomorrow. The school is proud to be an International Baccalaureate World School, authorized to offer the PYP and IBDP. ISL is also authorised to offer the IMYC (International Middle Years Curriculum) in Middle School and the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) in Years 10 and 11. These curricula, as well as having a host of other international accreditations, make ISL the premier academic school in Zambia and in the region. The student population at ISL is split between transient international students and those who spend the entirety of their academic careers at our school. The former benefit from ISL’s high academic requirements so that they are well placed to move to new International schools when their tenures in Zambia end. The latter benefit from continuity in all levels of education, all philosophically aligned to prepare students for life in and out of the classroom.
