Ifenya Huysman

Mechanical design engineer at the engineering consultancy eg Technology.

Ifenya Huysman is a master’s graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham. He was born in Kenya and lived there up until the age of 18 when he moved to the UK. While at university, he was actively engaged in the Shell Eco Marathon – an engineering competition seeking to create ultra efficient vehicles.

He was part of this team for 5 years and overcame many technical hurdles to create race ready vehicles.

He is currently plying his trade as a mechanical design engineer at the engineering consultancy eg Technology. He creates bespoke solutions to a wide range of problems within the field of medical device development and consumer product development.

He considers himself a creative individual and prides himself with coming up with novel and elegant mechanical mechanisms within devices.
