The School Scholarship
Beacon Scholarships for Secondary School Candidates from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia.
Up to six new Beacon Scholarships for School are available each academic year for secondary schooling.
Candidates must be:
- Between 13 and 18 years old.
- Nominated by their current school head.
Eligible candidates will be invited to:
- Complete a full application for a Beacon Scholarship for School.
- Gain admission to a Beacon Partner School.
- Undergo evaluation by Beacon for academic ability, leadership potential, changemaker qualities, and financial need.
The University Scholarship
Beacon Scholarships for Undergraduate Candidates from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and South Africa.
Up to six Beacon Scholarships for University are offered each year for 3-4 year undergraduate degrees at Beacon Partner Universities in the UK. Funding does not cover International Foundation Year courses or programmes in Medicine, Dentistry, or Veterinary Sciences.
Eligible candidates must:
- Be nominated by their school head and be invited to complete a full application for a Beacon Scholarship for University.
- Receive an offer of admission from a Beacon Partner University.
- Undergo evaluation by Beacon for academic ability, leadership potential, changemaker qualities, and financial need.
