In September, we announced our university partners for 2025, commenced expansion into South Africa and ran our first Zoom leadership events of the new academic year.

Current Beacon University Scholars and Beacon Staff visited Beacon Partner Schools in Kenya to talk to students about their UK university experiences and The Beacon Scholarship for University.

Parents of current and former Beacon Scholars met in Nairobi and formed a new Beacon Parents Association.

The Leadership Day was held in Nairobi and was focused on younger Scholars because many of the older ones were either preparing for or writing GCSE exams.

Trustees, Reps, Scholars and Mentors met in Nakuru for a day of leadership activities and networking.

The annual visit by Trustees included visits to Beacon Schools, possible new Beacon Schools, and organisations who are considering sponsorship of the Beacon Programme.
